Walt Disney World – World’s Greatest Tourist Attraction

A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you’re fast asleep, in dreams you will lose your heartaches, whatever you wish for, you keep; Have faith in your dreams and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through, no matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true; Cinderella sang this song for her animal friends to let them know that dreams come true if you chase them with faith. And the whole nation swung to its rhythm. When Walt Disney breathed his last in 1966, little did he know, that his dream, the Walt Disney World, which started as only his will touch millions of hearts and would continue to remain a dream destination for hundreds of thousands of people who visit this country.

With an area as huge as around 27,258 acres which hosts around 27 resort hotels, 4 theme parks, two water parks, four golf courses, one camping resort, one residential area and additional recreational and entertainment venues, this place has broken all records of attendance every year. Year 2013 reported an attendance of around 132,549,000 and Disney World has proven to be the top amusement park corporations for about 10 years now. We tried to find out reasons, interviewed a few regular goers and Whoa!! Didn’t we fall short of space to list them all? We will try to jot them down one by one (and if you have any one of the following things on mind for a destination, then we would recommend you pack your bags and get to Disney because we bet you will fulfill most of your unexpressed desires right here).

First, we heard that it brings families together. With the kind of lifestyles lived today, family time doesn’t seem to be in anyone’s top priority. A visit to this place can make your family get-togethers a happening thing again.  Boat transportation, camp fires bring back the feeling of togetherness which we find lost amongst many of our families today.

Second we understood that children have too much to explore at the place. Tom Sawyer’s island, Hidden Path’s at Animal Kingdom, Birthday Bashes and much more. You child will have a tour of a lifetime because the place is so large and there are so many things to do.

Third they say the place is highly maintained. Around 750 horticulturists and 600 painters, and a total of around 5000 cast members have been employed to take care of the engineering and maintenance of the place. They spend more than $100 million every year on maintenance only at Magic Kingdom and constantly innovate and renovate things. The visitors vouch for the cleanliness and upkeep of the place and say that it is excellent in all respects. For all those tree lovers, Disney World maintains a tree farm and if an old tree is to be replaced they have a 30 year old tree ready for it.

Next they say that the transportation facilities are very good. Complimentary for the guests is a fleet of Disney operated buses on property. There is a Disney Cruise Line, Disney’s Magical Express Buses and Walt Disney Monorail system that link the various resorts and theme parks from the ticket counter. There is also a fleet of watercraft, water taxis and ferries that connect the Magic Kingdom to the Transportation and Ticket Center. The convenience of all this adds up in the pleasure of being at the place.

The kind of activities and shows that get conducted at the place are very unique and true to the flavor of Walt Disney cartoon characters and you may want to become a child again. Adults have known to enjoy much more than their children because of the sheer fact that it takes them back to their good old days when stuff was only counted by smiles and pebbles.
