Undoubtedly it is one of the best skywalks in the world, located in Arizona. The magnificent Colorado River is adorned with the Canyon and the architecture made in 2007 has given a chance of floating over the canyon to the world. Though it literally does not mean floating, the skywalk which is horse shoe shaped with the glass floor and the cantilever design gives you a flying fee. Also the river view, which is 500-800 ft. high definitely scares the hell out of the faint hearts but is thrilling to the daredevils.
2. Tianmen Mountain Skywalk – Hunan, China
So if you are thinking about a skywalk in the Asian region, the Tianmen Mountain skywalk is the first in the list of best ones. At a great height of 4,700 ft., it is one among the most beautiful and remote skywalks. One interesting aspect is that you will have to bid adieu to your shoes when you are at such a great height. Sock booties will help you. This is because workers are not really ready to go to that height just to clean a glass floor! A terrifying fact is that, this walkway is 3ft wide 2.5in thick glass. The delicate nature of the glass can sometimes scare you as to where it can take you for one wrong step of yours. But the beauty of the mountains is worth seeing. This skywalk is 600 miles from the province of Guangzhou and 800 miles from the beautiful Shanghai. Don’t ever miss it if you are planning a trip to China!
3. Augrabies Waterfalls Walkways – Northern Cape, South Africa
The Augrabies waterfalls is truly one of the greatest wonders of nature where one can easily spend hours and hours watching the river transform into a white foam as it falls from a great height tumbling with a great force into the Augrabies Gorge. The walkways and viewpoints are within an easy reach where the waterfalls can be viewed clearly. The additional fun part here is that there are also short hiking trails which can be done from the rest area near the camp. These are situated among the trees, some of which have grown over years from the water which flows down from the fall. Sitting back and relaxing at this beautiful waterfall, at the end of the day with a campfire will be a great feeling while you have the waterfall roaring in your background.
